Enterprise Information Management SIG - Leverage Diverse and Distributed Data to Achieve Better Results – Wednesday 27 May

Wednesday, 06 May 2015

In this presentation you will hear how data management has advanced to leverage innovative fit-for-purpose big data technologies like Hadoop, and how this leads to challenges in accessing and combining disparate data silos. Data virtualisation is a technology that augments existing and emerging investments in data management, enabling companies to easily leverage all available data in a timely manner, which leads to better business outcomes.

Customer success stories in financial services, energy production, and telecommunications will be presented by David Besemer, the Chief Technology Officer for Cisco’s Data Virtualization Business Unit. He works with customers to guide their data virtualization strategies, and with DVBU management to help shape Cisco's technology vision and roadmap.

Wednesday 27 May from 5:00pm until 6:00pm at the ACS Auditorium, Level 11, 50 Carrington Street, Sydney, 2000
