ACS Victoria welcomes new Fellow, Rob Hillard FACS, at the Fellows & HLM Celebratory Dinner

Wednesday, 04 Mar 2015

On Wednesday 25th February, ACS Victoria welcomed its Honorary Life Members and Fellows at a special celebratory dinner held at the RACV City Club. With 60 guests in attendance the night comprised of speeches from our current Chairman, Craig Horne and Chairman of the Victorian Fellows Committee, Ian Wells. With the formalities over, the evening was then open for networking with the opportunity for old friends to catch-up.

The night also saw the Victorian Branch welcome its latest Fellow, Robert Hillard. Robert Hillard has over 25 years in the ICT profession and has held a number of senior partnership, executive and advisory roles. His contributions are particularly focused on information management, information complexity and the move to an information economy. Robert is a co-founder of MIKE2.0 (a widely used open approach to information and data management). As an early proponent of XBRL, he successfully architected its use in the regulation of the financial services sector in Australia, an approach that has been picked-up widely across the globe. Robert was presented his certificate by Ian Wells, Chairman, Fellows Committee to commemorate these significant achievements.

ACS Victoria would like to thank its Honorary Life Members and Fellows for their contribution to the Society and the ICT Industry, and hopes to welcome many more Fellows and HLM’s in the near future.
