ICT Shaping Our World

I would like to congratulate the CANCON2014 conference organising committee, led by Dr Tim Turner,  in their delivery of a highly successful ICT Shaping Our World conference at Hotel Realm last month. The conference brought together a terrific line up of speakers, ACS partners DAMA, appazure and sponsors Callida Consulting, CIT, UNSW Canberra, Information Professionals, PayPal Developer and ZEN Enterprise at a wonderful venue. Click here for photos from the ACS Canberra 2014 Annual Conference.

Leoni Warne Promotion of Women in ICT Medal

A highlight of the conference was the awarding of the Leoni Warne Promotion of Women in ICT Medal to Kate Muir, President of the Women in Information and Communication (WIC) Advisory Committee. The award recognises Kate’s outstanding support and mentorship of women in our profession, and was presented by ACT Deputy Chief Minister and ACS Canberra Patron, Mr Andrew Barr MLA.
