NCVER research project: Employer’s perspectives on work-integrated-learning

Friday, 26 Sep 2014

Are you an employer of ICT graduates and undergraduate students?

If so, we invite you to participate in a study the National Centre for Vocational Education Research (NCVER) is currently undertaking on behalf of the Office of the Chief Scientist. The project focuses on work-integrated-learning, such as ‘work experience’ placements or projects, which is considered to be increasingly important for science, technology, engineering and mathematics students. We are interested in finding out about employer’s experiences with work-integrated-learning, including the benefits and issues, interactions with students, partnerships with universities, and the skills of students and graduates. Even if you don’t provide such opportunities to students, we’d be interested in finding out some of the barriers and constraints to doing so.

We will be conducting a focus group in Melbourne in mid-October. If you are interested in participating, please contact Georgina Atkinson on by Friday 3 October, advising us of dates that you may be available.
