Nominations now open for NSW 2014 'Entrepreneur of the Year' Award

Friday, 22 Aug 2014

This year the Award will be presented by the Hon Dominic Perrottet, NSW Minister for Finance and Services, at NSW Parliament House, Macquarie Street on 6th November at 5.30pm.

The NSW ICT Entrepreneur Award is awarded annually to the most outstanding ICT and digital media entrepreneur, through an open peer recognition system. The award recognises an entrepreneur who is in "mid career", and who has the potential top achieve more.

Nominations:
If you know someone who is an exciting and noteworthy tech entrepreneur, please email your nomination to Philip Takken on phtakken@deloitte.com.au. S/he must be an achiever with a substantial NSW connection, and ideally should demonstrate that s/he has given something back to the industry/other entrepreneurs. Worthy candidates will be inducted into our “living hall of fame”. For more information on nominating, see here

Student pitching competition:
Prior to presentation of the award we will be holding a Pitching Competition where researchers at Universities spruik their business plans and ideas before a panel of industry judges and a savvy audience of technology movers and shakers. The competition is designed to introduce participants to the dynamics of pitching and hitting the key messages for investors, distributors, and customers.
