September Branch Forum: Outsourcing - All You need to know

Friday, 08 Aug 2014

ACS     University of Melbourne

The Australian Computer Society and The Melbourne School of Information are proud to co-host the September Victorian Branch Forum and Public Lecture in our series of co-hosted events.

Outsourcing may seem old hat to many ... yet only 20% of outsourcing arrangements are high performing.  Most are just muddling along, with 15% considered failed. Why such a mixed set of experiences? The leading denominator is management, which contributes to nearly half of the difference in performance in our research.  Moreover 60% of problems attribute the fault to client inexperience.

In this session, we'll discuss the absolutely key things that you need to know about managing outsourcing, based on research evidence from 2200 cases across the globe.  You will leave understanding what you need to focus upon with your limited time and resources - from strategy to day-to-day management.

Wednesday 3rd September
Telstra Conference Centre
Level 1, 242 Exhibition Street
Melbourne, Victoria
