DeakinDigital supports YITCON 14 as a Gold Sponsor

Monday, 28 Jul 2014

The Australian Computer Society is pleased to announce that DeakinDigital is a Gold Sponsor of this year’s Youth Festival of IT (YITCON 14).

DeakinDigital is a wholly owned subsidiary company of Deakin University that has been established to transform credentialing for continuous career development. DeakinDigital credentials are focused on transferrable workplace skills but also provide an alignment to recognised higher education qualifications. They are designed to meet the needs of all those who are seeking formal recognition of the knowledge, skills and attributes already achieved in the workplace or through other forms of learning. DeakinDigital will use leading technologies to focus on best practice models for assessing and providing credentials for those professional capabilities. This new initiative is highly synergistic with Deakin University's innovation in the digital space.

YITCON will be held on 9 and 10 October 2014 at The Forum in Melbourne. World-class presenters and industry experts will fill the program focused around on ‘how to prosper in the digital future’ and ‘leading edge technological change.’

DeakinDigital CEO Allyn Radford, internationally recognized for his innovative solutions as an enterprise architect and learning technologist, will join the line-up of speakers.

“We are honoured to partner with a leading edge organisation like DeakinDigital as a Gold Sponsor for YITCON 14, and even more pleased to introduce their CEO, Allyn Radford, as an expert ICT speaker for our young audience,” said Alan Patterson, CEO of ACS.
