NSW Branch Mentoring Program was successfully launched last October. Since then participants have reached close of round 1, with some great reports of successful career transition and other milestones arising from active Mentee and Mentor engagement.
Individual comments include:
“Expanded my knowledge on a different area of ICT and had an opportunity to support someone else's career path.”
“My mentor was able to share her experience which was useful to me when I moved into a new role.”
“What I have most benefited from is the reset of my expectations and my understanding of building relationships with other professionals whom I do not have a pre-existing relationship with.”
“Peer networking and mentoring are the foundation of an effective professional Society.”
Applications are invited from prospective Mentees and Mentors, including Mentors from Round 1 wishing to register for Round 2, subject to successful matching by an ICT professional sub-committee, comprising Branch Executive Committee members.
Applications close Friday July 25 2014.
Matching will be completed shortly thereafter and a Mentoring Information Night will be held on Thursday 14 August, where successful applicants will be introduced and formalities attended to.
