Call For Papers: NITC 2014

The 32nd National Information Technology Conference (NITC) themed “ICT for Inclusive Development” organized by The Computer Society of Sri Lanka (CSSL), will be held from 25th-27th August 2014 in Colombo Sri Lanka.

This annual Information and Communication Technology Conference is intended to provide a forum for policy makers, public and private sector ICT practitioners and academia to keep up to date with technology trends and to discover opportunities for the private sector in the process of inclusive development and avenues for public - private partnerships in the march towards realizing the ICT objectives in the post Millennium Development Goals (MDG) era.

The NITC 2014 Conference will develop a charter “ICT for Inclusive Development beyond MDGs: Policy Objectives and Targets for Vision 2020 in the Commonwealth” which is intended to be submitted as recommendations for setting ICT Objectives in the Commonwealth, to the Chair in Office of the Commonwealth.

CSSL is pleased to invite papers from academia and policy makers in Commonwealth member countries to be presented at the conference. The Conference will engage in a dialogue that examines a broad range of topics within the spirit of its theme.

The papers shall be submitted in the following areas but are not limited to the suggested list below:

- ICT for Societal Challenges- Cloud Computing and Cloud Security
- Public Service Innovations through ICT- Social Networks
- Digital Ecosystems for public-private citizen service delivery- Next Generation Networking and the Internet
- Mobile/Telecom/Broadband inclusion- ICT Human Capital Development
- Entrepreneurship in the ICT sector- E-Health / E-Education
- Software Technologies- E-Tourism (Tourism powered by ICT)
- Big Data and Analytics- ICT and Design
- Information Security- Digital Cities
- IT Governance and Assurance- Sustainable ICT
- Ubiquitous Computing- Digital inclusion of differently abled
