ICT Sustainability - Australia & New Zealand Survey 2014

Friday, 07 Mar 2014

This survey is about ICT Sustainability - ICT energy efficiency and the role of ICT in reducing the organisation’s energy consumption and greenhouse gas footprint. It is designed to provide data for the global Connection Research ICT Sustainability Index (ITSx).

Following the success of the three previous global reports, with a specific focus on the local ANZ market, this will be the fourth report developed by Fujitsu determining the maturity of ICT Sustainability practices and technologies in organisations. The research utilises a unique methodology developed by Connection Research and the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT) and quantifies the current state of ICT Sustainability implementation, providing detailed insights across many different components and industry sectors.

The Research
A total of 300 responses will be collected through an online survey and interviews of organisations in most industry sectors. CIOs and ICT Managers will be asked over 80 questions about their ICT Sustainability policies, behaviour and technologies in each area of the framework. The responses will then be weighted to deliver a score (out of 100) in each of the five ICT Sustainability Index components, aggregated to determine the overall ICT Sustainability Index (ITSx) for each organisation, ensuring quantitative comparisons between respondents.
