ACS Open Data Forum a great success!

Friday, 15 Nov 2013

The ACS' November Branch Forum held on Wednesday evening focussed on Open Data and DataVic.

The event was run as a panel session, featuring speakers Mr Greg Gough from the Department of Treasury and Finance; Dr Fiona Tweedie, Open Knowledge Foundation; and Mr Steve Bennett, GovHack 2013 Participant who shared their expertise and passion on the topic and linked local initiatives with the global Open Data movement.

The Forum attracted significant interest and, despite it being a very wet Melbourne evening, 133 participants from all sectors of the ICT profession, including CIOs, developers, ICT consultants, project managers, business owners, business analysts, academics, software providers, program managers as well as some students, were in attendance.
