A track record of success has built credibility and driven rapid expansion of Lean improvement efforts at DHS, with more than 40 projects completed, including end-to-end analysis in just two years of seven major customer journeys, creating an average 15% productivity improvement.
More than 150 people have been trained in Lean techniques and 99 staff members have been certified. DHS is now applying the Lean approach to improve its online services.
