Nominations are invited for the following positions on the 2014/15 ACS South Australian Branch Executive Committee (BEC).

  • Chairman (1 position, 2 year term)
  • Branch Vice Chair (1 position, 2 year term)
  • Honorary Secretary (1 position, 2 year term
  • Ordinary Committee Member (5 positions, 2 year terms)

ACS SA encourages all members who believe they can make a positive contribution to the ACS via the SA BEC to submit their nominations.

Appointments commence 1 January, 2014.

Members  and Associate Members of ACS SA are eligible to nominate for positions on the ACS SA BEC. For a nomination to be valid it must show the name, membership number and address of an eligible candidate, be signed by the candidate as evidence of willingness to accept the nomination and be signed by another member of ACS SA as proposer.

Office Bearers are drawn from members of the Professional Division*.At least one half of the Ordinary Committee Members of the Branch Executive Committee must be members of the Professional Division.

* Members, Senior Members and Fellows together form the Professional Division of the ACS.

Closing date for nominations:
Nominations must be on the approved BEC 2014/15 nomination form and reach the Returning Officer no later than 5:00pm, Friday 13th September, 2013. They may be posted or delivered to the ACS SA Office, 54 King William Street, Kent Town SA, 5067. They may also be scanned and emailed to the South Australian Branch Returning Officer at: The onus rests with those concerned to ensure that nominations are lodged by the closing time.

If there are more nominations than positions, a ballot will be held to determine the successful nominees. To assist members in making their selection, nominees will be asked to supply a statement of no more than 200 words in support of their nomination. This should be sent to the South Australian Returning Officer at: or delivered with the forms as above.
