Structured Workplace Learning
Host Employers needed to support students participating in ICT Vocational Courses at School
Structured Workplace Learning (SWL) is the workplace component of a nationally recognised industry specific Vocational Education and Training in Schools (VETiS) program. It is undertaken by students in years 10, 11 and 12 who are currently enrolled in the relevant VETiS course.
We are currently looking at opportunities for students in ICT. Students are working towards the Certificate II in Information, Digital Media and Technology and they require a SWL placement in order to receive the Cert II at the end of Year 12.
The placements are specifically designed for those students who are considering a career in ICT and students work towards an ICT related competency while in the workplace. These placements generally go for five days but can be as little as one day if necessary.
Please click HERE and refer to the attached brochure for more information about the benefits for employers.
