Upcoming Software Testing SIG: Highlights from the 2013 Australian Test Manager's Forum and Testing and Quality Assurance at UniSuper

Friday, 14 Jun 2013

This year’s Australian Test Manager’s Forum featured great keynotes, case studies and project profile presentations covering topics mobile application testing, including how to spot a good BA, getting the best from your business testers, key risks and mitigations in security testing for cloud migration, how testing can best deliver value to the business, and interactive discussions on the critical challenges facing test managers. Mark Pedersen, programme chair for the Forum, will give a summary of highlights and findings arising from these presentations and discussions, giving you a quick insight into current issues and practical solutions in testing today.

Following Mark’s overview, Michael Grech, Head of Testing at UniSuper, will give a test process improvement perspective on testing at UniSuper, covering challenges, solutions, team structure, their process improvement roadmap and their journey so far. A key focus on improving testing efficiency and throughput has seen significant achievements in test automation at UniSuper, far above the industry average. As Michael explains, the keys to this success lie with people and processes, rather than tools. Join Michael for a bold and insightful discussion on how to improve the way your organisation could be delivering quality software.
