Australia 3.0 represents a unique opportunity for informed and action-oriented debate on how the Australian economy can react to the age of digital transformation and positively shape its productivity and competitiveness for the future.

This is one of the key ICT events which forms part of the 2013 iAwards program. A thought leadership summit that brings together experts and senior representatives from the ICT industry and Australia’s major economic sectors, to discuss and debate how the Australian economy can react to the age of digital transformation, in particular digital productivity.

The economic sectors in focus for this year’s Australia 3.0 are Agriculture, Mining, Infrastructure, Health and Services in Government.  Due to the pace of digital transformation, the effects of digital productivity will continue more aggressively into the future, accelerated by ubiquitous high-speed broadband and ever improving smart phone devices. The challenge is to harness these technologies for Australia’s growth.

During the months of May and June, Australian industry can raise their voice at the Australia 3.0 Virtual Roundtable. This environment demonstrates the practical use of social media tools to facilitate this public debate on an issue of national significance. The Virtual Roundtable is run in Yammer, a private social network (similar to LinkedIn).  This is a unique opportunity for all participants to contribute their ideas over an extended period, and it will enable more informed discussion on the day of the forum. You can join in the Yammer Australia 3.0 Virtual Roundtable now!

In July the results will be collated for presentation at the Australia 3.0 Forum - single day event taking place at Crown Promenade Melbourne on Thursday 8 August from 8.30am through until 4.00pm – held on the day of the national iAwards Gala Dinner.

Running concurrently with this event is the inaugural iAwards Marketplace - the industry expo showcasing innovation, services and productivity capabilities within the ICT sector.  Marketplace will be open from 8.30am through to 4.00pm

The Australia 3.0 Forum is a joint initiative between iAwards host partners ACS, AIIA and The Pearcey Foundation and is hosted in conjunction with DIISRTE. Foundation Partners NICTA and CSIRO are actively supporting and participating in the online virtual round table and forum.

Australia 3.0 is looking to ensure it has involvement from the country’s brightest and most experienced leaders.  You cannot afford to miss out on the opportunity to be part of this nationwide initiative.
