In its 5th year, the Annual PMO FORUM provides an opportunity for leading PMO Practitioners to share with the AIPM community their experience, the challenges they have faced and the strategies used to resolve them.

Blue Skies on the Horizon – A brighter future at the Bureau of Meteorology through the development of P3M Capability

The Bureau of Meteorology is undertaking an effort to improve its project, programme and portfolio management capabilities in response to a P3M3 assessment indicating a low level of maturity in these areas. As part of this initiative, the Climate and Water Division established a project management office tasked with organising the activities required to achieve a level 3 maturity level.
The presentation will discuss the task at hand, the problems encountered, the progress made so far and the plan for the work ahead.

Benefits Realisation - Should PMOs get involved, and if so how?

Angelo will draw on his experience to provide examples of PMOs involvement in benefits realisation and answering the the question “Is it just about ‘doing things right’ or should PMOs also influence ‘doing the right things’”?
