Changes to Information Age, win an iPad Mini

Thursday, 04 Apr 2013

The ACS encourages you to participate in a competition to help us improve our magazine – Information Age which for the next two editions will be delivered solely online.

Your suggestions will go into the running to win an iPad Mini. The best suggestion will be drawn on April 30. You can provide your input by following the links within Information Age online or click here.

The magazine has been a great success for ACS but the ACS is not a magazine publisher, we are a member organisation committed to excellence in ICT professionalism, and for Information Age to continue to be a success it needs to evolve.

Our members are increasingly looking for greater online content from the ACS and a printed magazine that is posted out to members is out of place in today's digital world. We believe this is particularly true for our highly technologically literate members. As the professional society for ICT professionals, we believe an electronic magazine is not only better suited to our members' needs, but also enables us to spend more money on delivering services to those members by removing significant print and postage costs.

After careful consideration and consultation we are moving forward. We will continue Information Age but as part of our pilot in improving it, our next two editions (March/April and May/June) will not be printed and posted; they will be created as a downloadable pdf and as an online magazine. Both of which can be accessed via member logins on the ACS website. Click here to read IA March/April edition.

Creating a rich, immersive and educative experience for our readers online will not happen overnight which is why your feedback is so important to us.
