ACS and Vic ICT for Women IWD Breakfast)
This year’s IWD theme is “Gaining Momentum: the gender agenda”. This day has been celebrated globally each year since 1977 and is an opportunity for the community to recognise the achievements of women, past, present and future, and to highlight their economic, political and social contributions to society.
Today we can reflect on past struggles and accomplishments to improve gender equality. It is also a day when women are recognised for their achievements, regardless of divisions, whether national, ethnic, linguistic, cultural, economic or political.
ACS and Vic ICT for Women together thank those who attended this morning’s breakfast – to help celebrate an occasion for looking ahead to the new potential and opportunities that await future generations of women.
