ACS Canberra is affiliated with Toastmasters International. The ACS Canberra Toastmasters club was started in November 2010. Since then, ACS members as well as members of the public have joined the club to improve their communication and leadership skills with great success.
As all members of Toastmasters progress through the communication and leadership programs in order to reach their goals, the clubs they belong to also have goals that they can achieve.
At the club level, there are three different levels of recognition based on membership growth, retention and individual accomplishments. The three distinctions are: Distinguished Club, Select Distinguished Club, and President's Distinguished Club.
Despite being a relatively young club, ACS Canberra Toastmasters have been able to achieve the second highest qualification, that of Select Distinguished Club.
We have a healthy membership size and our participants eagerly progress through the club's program. Our success has been noted by our neighbouring clubs and our governing area. ACS Canberra Toastmasters members have been competing in contests throughout the last two years and have shown their exceptional skills when competing against members from other clubs.
Well done to the ACS members who participate in Toastmasters and help to make the ACS Canberra Toastmasters club one of the most successful clubs in Canberra.
If you feel that you would benefit from improving your public speaking and presentation skills, don't hesitate to contact our Vice President for Membership Udara Rupasinghe on 0433 972 966 or email Jenalle Wei on Jenalle.Wei@acs.org.au .
ACS Canberra Toastmasters will provide a supportive environment for you to become a better communicator.
