As an emerging young professional, you are the next generation of professionals in our industry. This half-day boot camp will aim to help improve your awareness and understanding of the professional workplace and develop your overall skills in this area.<br><br>The event&#39;s agenda is below. Are you industry ready?</span></b><br><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Speaker: ACS Qld - State Manager, Ross Medina</span><br><br><b>Session 2</b><br><b>Building confidence and influence through effective communication - the importance of good listening.</b><br>Speaker: Maria Bowering<br>Professonal Corporate Coach <h2><b>Topic:</b></h2> In this workshop you will get practical tips on how to become a fantastic listener and how to use this skill to work the floor, whether your arena is a conference meeting room or a corporate office. <br> <br>Think about it. How many times have you actually asked someone: “That’s interesting. Tell me more”? Probably not a lot. Becoming a listener will set you apart from the crowd. And that’s what you want.<br><br><b>Further details</b><br>8:30 registration for 9:00am start.<br>Morning tea provided.<br><br><b>Open to Non ACS Members. Registration as a non-member to this event for $80 includes a 12month ACS student membership. Total value over $150.</b>

  1. Your co-operation in notifying us if you are unable to attend is appreciated as ACS incur costs for non-attendance. 
  2. Cancellations must be processed through the website via your ACS member account. A refund will only be considered if it is 5 working days prior to the event. No refunds will be given after the registration closing date.
  3. To avoid disappointment, ensure you pay for your booking(s) (if required) before the registration closing date. Anyone that has not received a confirmation email will not be on the event attendance list and therefore will not be admitted to the event.
  4. ACS reserves the right to change the program at any time. Every effort will be made to ensure a program of equivalent standard and members are updated with changes.
  5. Payment (if required) in full is required by the event date in order to attend.
  6. All dietary requirements are considered and catered to in the best possible way for our members, however we cannot guarantee a 100% allergen free environment.
  7. ACS reserves the right to prohibit entry of any person to an ACS event, or eject any person from an ACS event based on behaviour deemed inappropriate by ACS staff and/or its agents and others working under its authority.
  8. Professional Year students - Attending this event will account for all 6 CPD hours required to complete your studies. All three sessions must be attended in order for your enrolment to be processed.
