The ACS has a Special Interest Group (SIG) in Toastmasters to promote public speaking skills. A club has been established for both ACS Members and Non Members.

<p><b><u>Professional Year Students please note: </u>This event does not contain CPD hours and therefore will not contribute to your Professional Year student requirements.</b><br><br>The Toastmasters program will improve your presentation, speaking and listening skills in a supportive, professional environment.<br><br>The meeting will be fun and entertaining as well as instructional. Meetings are structured, with timings and agenda items - similar to any business meeting, but perhaps more informal.<br><br>You may attend as a guest for up to 2 visits to find out more about how Toastmaster meetings are held and whether it is what you are looking for, then we would hope you would join as a member.<br><br>It is essential if you register that you attend, or advise us if you cannot. We are normally booked out each meeting. We hold our meetings the first and third Thursday of every month (unless otherwise advised) so diary these dates for 2018. <br><br><b><i>Light refreshments (sandwiches/tea/coffee) will be provided at the meeting.</i></b></p>
