Business Intelligence SIG: Business Intelligence trends: Self Service BI & Embedded BI

Business Intelligence trends: Self Service BI & Embedded BI

Event Start: Mon 26 Jun 05:30 PM AEST
Event Finish: Mon 26 Jun 08:00 PM AEST

Completed

Registration End Date: Mon 26 Jun 02:00 PM

Two of the recent trends Lee has seen in the BI Industry are Self Service BI and Embedded BI.

While the concept of Self Service BI is nothing new, successful implementations however have been quite elusive. New technologies and new approaches to the delivery of Self Service BI have been more successful and have seen an uptake of interest in this concept. Lee will discuss the business drivers behind this and how Qlik Software is enabling this new kind of Self Service BI.

Embedded BI is about well, embedding Business Intelligence into other applications. Business users have become more data-savvy over the last few years and are demanding business applications that give them information-rich interfaces like they get in their personal life from things like their Fitbit or even their humble water bill. Lee discuss some case studies and the business value that organizations are seeking to achieve from Embedded BI, and demonstrate how the Qlik platform easily enables analytic content to be plugged into any web based interface.
