Technology Startups are in the news regularly. The community is fascinated with the next disruptive things - Things that will make life easier and/ or increase convenience / productivity. This journey requires skills in every aspect, in this session we hear from Shane who has been through this journey multiple times. Shane will talk about various aspects that impact a technology venture, such as:<br>1)    Business validation of your idea<br>2)    Growth once a company is established<br>3)    Tips for better partnership with other organizations<br>4)    Business exits and preparation for them<br>5)    Lessons learned during growing a technology venture in a geographical region<br><br>Shane will base the conversation around this experiences with Ivanti which went through similar process over the past ten years. The event will be an interactive session and will provide you an opportunity to ask questions relevant to your project. Amit Bhandari (SIG Convenor) will be the MC for the event.<br>

Shane Wescott

Shane left school at 16 to join the Airforce. Many years later he joined AppSense, a UK based software company and helped start the APAC office. 13 years later, after acquisition by LANDesk, and a merger with Heat, the Ivanti group has over 600 customers and 30 staff in ANZ.

Shane regularly helps young entrepreneurs on what it takes to start and build a business and is always working on projects to add value to others. He has spoken all over the world for organisations like Microsoft, Citrix, IDC, and Gartner, sharing his insights with passion and fun.

Shane is a John C Maxwell Certified Speaker, Trainer and Coach, and is mentored by some of the world’s best experts in personal development.

Shane loves his family, Alfa Romeo cars, Ducati motorbikes and the Richmond Football Club.

Shane is passionate about helping others and travels the world with his Black Dog mascot Winston raising money for depression and suicide prevention.

COVID-19 Event Attendance Compliance

By registering to attend an ACS in person event you are agreeing to the below terms and conditions

  • If an attendee is displaying flu or cold like symptoms in the days leading up to the event and therefore is not able to attend, ACS will refund the registration fee.
  • If an attendee comes to an event and is displaying flu or cold like symptoms they will be asked to leave
  • We ask all ACS members to respect the social distancing guidelines, if an attendee repeatedly disregards these guidelines, they may be asked to leave
  • ACS reserves the right to cancel the event within 24 hours' notice if either the speaker or the event host has advised us that they are exhibiting flu or cold like symptoms
  • All attendees must provide a valid phone number and email address to be contacted on if there is reason to notify about a possible COVID-19 exposure
