<p>The Industry Night event is part of the ACS University Industry Engagement program, which is a collaborative event series presented in conjunction with the University of Tasmania and the student Technology &amp; Computer Society (TECH Society) based in Hobart and the Computer &amp; Technology Society (CTS) based in Launceston.<br><br>At this event you will hear from three speakers from industry, government and research talking about digital career opportunities:</p> <ul><li>Government - Shaun Hevey, Hydro Tasmania (software engineering)</li><li>Research - Dr Daniel Smith, CSIRO Data 61 (data analytics/data visualisation/machine learning)</li><li>Games sector -Jason Imms,TasGDS  (game industry/startups/small business)  </li></ul> Presentations will be followed by Q&amp;A and a cocktail style networking opportunity for students and speakers.<br><br>Doors open at 5.30 pm for a 6.00 pm start.
