<p>Internet of things (IoT) is the network of physical devices, vehicles, home appliances and other items embedded with electronics, software, sensors and connectivity which enables these objects to connect and exchange data – IoT has been of great interest to the technology community.<br><br>Experts estimate that the IoT will consist of about 30 billion objects by 2020. It is also estimated that the global market value of IoT will reach $7.1 trillion by 2020. This presentation will focus on the opportunities available to the technology community in the IoT space.<br><br>Amit Bhandari (MD -ContinuousExcellence) will be the MC for the evening.</p>

  4. Payment (if required) in full is required by the event date in order to attend.
  5. All dietary requirements are considered and catered to in the best possible way for our members, however we cannot guarantee a 100% allergen free environment.
  6. ACS reserves the right to prohibit entry of any person to an ACS event, or eject any person from an ACS event based on behaviour deemed inappropriate by ACS staff and/or its agents and others working under its authority.

Geoffrey Ramadan

Geoffrey Ramadan

Geoffrey Ramadan is the founder and Managing Director of Unique Micro Design (UMD), an engineering ICT solutions company which adds "eyes and ears" to software using edgeware and IoT. 

Geoffrey was a founding member of the RFID Association of Australia and past Chairman of Automatic Data Capture Australia (ADCA) for several years, a leading reference source for automatic data capture technology in Australia. The ADCA has since merged with Australia’s largest industry association, the Australian Industry Group (AIG).

Within the AIG, Geoffrey is a member of the Technology Industry Development Councils and also Chairs the Technology, Hardware and Equipment members reference group. Geoffrey has a unique perspective of what drives the ICT industry and beyond, which he we will share in this presentation.
