We will also have three industry professionals sharing their journeys and answer any of your questions during the event.<br><br><b>Speakers include: </b><br><br><b>Industry veteran, and National ACS Treasurer, Arnold Wong will provide a brief overview on what he sees as the exciting “Future for ICT Professionals”</b></span><br> <br><span style="color: #222222;"><span style="font-family: arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 9.5pt;">Arnold has enjoyed a long and successful professional career in the ever-evolving ICT services industry for over 30 years. He has developed extensive strategic leadership, general management, customer service and business development skills in diverse industries including technology, education, healthcare and resources in public and private sectors across Australia, Asia, Europe and the Americas.</span></span></span><br> <br><span style="color: #222222;"><span style="font-family: arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 9.5pt;"><b>Mr. Michal Rusin - A former TAFE Diploma in IT Networking student formerly employed by with Kinetic IT.</b></span></span></span><br><br><span style="color: #222222;"><span style="font-family: arial,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 9.5pt;">Michal transitioned from compulsory education to Certificate IV and Diploma levels of IT Networking studies at East Perth campus of North Metropolitan TAFE. He secured full-time employment with Kinetic late last year. Michal shares his story of how study at TAFE prepared him for Industry and allowed him to successfully gain employment.</span></span></span><br><br><span style="color: black;"><span style="font-family: tahoma,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 10.0pt;"><b>Ms Pat Salay - A former TAFE Diploma and Associate Diploma graduate of Multimedia and Computing qualifications has forged a successful IT career in the TAFE Sector. </b><br><br>She is currently the Acting Director of Building Design &amp; Technologies, including the IT Networking area.</span></span></span><br> <br><span style="color: black;"><span style="font-family: tahoma,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 10.0pt;">Listen to Pat recount how her TAFE education provided a starting point for her career in IT, which has evolved from IT lecturing through to leadership and management roles in the new North Metropolitan TAFE. Pat shares tips on how to study successfully and how building networks in Industry and seeking mentor-ship from others can help you open employment opportunities and build a career.</span></span></span><br><br><br><span style="color: #313131;"><b>Eric Torres is both a founder and one of the directors at ITdynamics. He specialises in the Information Systems space of Information Technology. </b><br><br>Eric has a passion for the growth of the Information Technology industry within Australia. He currently sits on the Executive Committee for the Australian Computer Society and has also been a judge for the WAITTA Incite awards (WA Computer Industry Awards).</span>

  • ACS reserves the right to prohibit entry or eject any person from an ACS event based on behaviour deemed inappropriate by ACS staff, its agents and/or others working under its authority.
  • Filming or streaming by attendees is not permitted. If an attendee is found to be doing so they will be asked to leave the event immediately and further action may be taken.
  • Photography and/or filming may take place during this event, by accepting these terms you consent to this. Please let a member of ACS know if you do not want your picture taken.

COVID-19 Event Attendance Compliance

By registering to attend an ACS in person event you are agreeing to the below terms and conditions

  • If an attendee is displaying flu or cold like symptoms in the days leading up to the event and therefore is not able to attend, ACS will refund the registration fee.
  • If an attendee comes to an event and is displaying flu or cold like symptoms they will be asked to leave
  • We ask all ACS members to respect the social distancing guidelines, if an attendee repeatedly disregards these guidelines, they may be asked to leave
  • ACS reserves the right to cancel the event within 24 hours' notice if either the speaker or the event host has advised us that they are exhibiting flu or cold like symptoms
  • All attendees must provide a valid phone number and email address to be contacted on if there is reason to notify about a possible COVID-19 exposure
