Professional Year Students please note: This event will not contribute to your Professional Year student requirements.

Uncovering and negating the hurdles in ICT project and program management to delivery successfully!

Encountering challenges and hurdles in the delivery of ICT projects and programs is predictable! However, what might these be and what do we need to do when we meet them?

The eighth session for 2017 will cover:
Measuring Adoption Program Project Success
Project team members are only as good as the success of their last project, therefore measuring the adoptive success becomes personal as well as professional. To date, measuring project success has been about meeting the business case - was it on budget and was in delivered in time? Little regard has been given to measuring whether the project met the business needs now and for the future; meeting the business needs is the only way to achieve adoptive success. Many projects are delivered successfully in project terms but within a relatively short space of time people are finding workarounds to design features that stop full adoption. To achieve adoptive success business involvement needs to be included in the journey, rather than handed a project with some training and user guides. Linda will outline how understanding a project is successful requires measurement before the project begins and continues long after the business case has been put to bed and the financials have been signed off.

This will be the final session for 2017.

As a member these sessions will cost $20 per session. If you are not a member, the sessions will cost $50 per session.

So if you are working in ICT program or project management and are passionate about delivering successfully, register today!

Online registration is required.
Light refreshments will be provided.

Linda Carlin

For many years, Linda has worked in complex change programs focused on the impact of people on making change happen. Her work in project delivery has spanned many industries and diverse teams; with a requirement to analyze the strategies for success. The projects have been in multiple countries and cities around the globe with a focus on technology delivery. International projects included the additional complexity of cultural considerations. Linda’s change work in each project focused on ensuring that the strategic and operational staff understand their change journey and how much they have progressed throughout the project.
