ACS Professional: Women in STEM with Academy of Information Technology

ACS has partnered with the Academy of Information Technology (AIT) to bring you an opportunity to explore AIT's heavily subsidised Women in STEM Program to anyone interested about studying IT. Join us for a lunch and learn session where we will be talking with Tamara Popper and Nathalia Andrade about AIT's grant for Women in STEM.

<p>ACS has partnered with the Academy of Information Technology (AIT) to bring you an opportunity to join AIT&#39;s heavily subsidised Women in STEM Program to anyone interested in technology.</p> <p> </p> <p>Join us for a lunch and learn session on Monday 27 September 12:00PM AEST, where we will be talking with Tamara Popper from the Academy of Information Technology (AIT) about their Diploma of IT for the Women in STEM program. Also speaking during this session is AIT graduate of IT, Nathalia Andrade, now working as Junior Programmer at Motorsport Games.</p> <p> </p> <p>Nathalia will explain the subjects and programming languages taught within the Diploma of IT, including project work she conducted and what campus life was like. Nathalia Andrade

Nathalia, originally from Brazil, became fascinated with everything related to technology at a young age and in 2017 decided to start he Diploma of IT studies at AIT.

 

Studying the Diploma of IT led Nathalia onwards into further studies with AIT. She completed a Bachelor of IT, and has recently won a Bronze award at the 2021 AEAF awards in the VR category for co-developing a VR game/experience (ColorgizeVR), which LiminalVR accepted to publish on their platform.

 

In July 2021, Nathalia accepted a job proposal from Motorsport Games for the position of Junior Programmer at the Melbourne Studio.

COVID-19 Event Attendance Compliance

By registering to attend an ACS in person event you are agreeing to the below terms and conditions

  • If an attendee is displaying flu or cold like symptoms in the days leading up to the event and therefore is not able to attend, ACS will refund the registration fee.
  • If an attendee comes to an event and is displaying flu or cold like symptoms they will be asked to leave
  • We ask all ACS members to respect the social distancing guidelines, if an attendee repeatedly disregards these guidelines, they may be asked to leave
  • ACS reserves the right to cancel the event within 24 hours' notice if either the speaker or the event host has advised us that they are exhibiting flu or cold like symptoms
  • All attendees must provide a valid phone number and email address to be contacted on if there is reason to notify about a possible COVID-19 exposure
