Founder of onPlatinum ICT, Shannon Overs is a veteran of the IT industry with over 20 years’ experience.  Shannon has collaborated with a variety of organisation sizes and can relate to all levels within a company.

In his previous role, he was responsible for the ICT systems and infrastructure for one of Australia’s largest financial services company, in 12 worldwide locations. The infrastructure supported 4,500 associated clients and their teams.

Now in his role as Group CEO of onPlatinum ICT, he specialises in the engineering of the cloud infrastructure and creating workable solutions for our clients.  He works closely with the sales, service, provisioning, and operations teams, with a keen eye over all areas of the business.

Shannon is passionate about IT Governance & Risk Management which ensures a seamless experience for customers of onPlatinum ICT.

Shannon’s professional qualifications include an MBA in Information Technology, Project and Services Management and Information Technology Infrastructure Library.


Shannon is responsible for the architecture of the cloud computing systems onPlatinum ICT brings to market for its customers. He is passionate about IT Governance & Risk Management to ensure a seamless experience for customers of onPlatinum ICT.
 

General Manager, Datacom

Megan Cappelleri is a practiced digital transformation professional, with over two decades of experience across the government, private and utilities sectors. Megan is the General Manager of the Data and Analytics, Robotic Process Automation and Enterprise Information Management Practices at Datacom and engages with customers across Australia and New Zealand to help solve their technology challenges.

Megan is an engaging speaker who has spoken both domestically and internationally to share her experience and has won numerous awards and accolades including, Women in Technology finalist 2016, Enterprise Information Management Champion 2014 and most recently the Records and Information Management Professionals Association of Australasia Most Outstanding Individual, recognising her work in mentoring others.
 

Chief Executive Officer, The Gold Coast Innovation Hub

I have a passion for technology, innovation and collaboration and a keen interest in promoting and increasing youth participation in startups and technology.

With over a decade of experience in software development and project management, I have held senior roles in some of Australia’s fastest growing companies including multi award winning software company, Opmantek.

In 2017, I drove the formation and launch of the Gold Coast Innovation Hub (GC Hub). The GC Hub is a not for profit organisation that has received Federal, State and Local government support to deliver a citywide innovation strategy that will provide infrastructure and services to support new business growth in the city. It is anticipated that the GC Hub project will have a $3Billion economic impact on the Gold Coast over the next 5 years.

I have also co-founded a number of initiatives, including Startup Apprentice with Sam Winter, which launched on the Gold Coast in 2013. The organisation delivered Australia’s first in curriculum high school startup accelerator program, introducing a new generation to entrepreneurship and paving the way for many other organisations to launch in the space. Since then, thousands of students across the city have participated in Startup Apprentice led workshops, events and programs, Startup Apprentice is also a foundation partner in the Mayors Telstra Technology Awards.

In 2018, I had the honour of being named by the Australian Financial Review as one of Australia’s 100 Women of Influence. I have also been recognised as a Startup Leader in the Westpac Community leader awards and named, alongside Sam Winter as an ‘Innovation Champion’ by the Queensland Government for contributions to the Gold Coast Startup Ecosystem in 2015.
 

I joined the Accounting world as an intern while obtaining my business degree. That early insight and the company’s culture sparked my desire to help businesses chase down their dreams.

11 years later, as a Director at William Buck, I assist privately owned businesses to achieve their financial goals. I have a first-hand understanding of the issues private businesses are facing and what makes them tick through my husband’s commercial construction business.

My client-centric approach is based on providing collaborative advice, which is a blend of strategy, compliance and business advice, with a strong focus on my client’s needs first, regulations second.

My expertise is based on a profound legislative knowledge and understanding the client’s point of view which I use to solve complex problems.
