Craig Penfold, CTO of Rome2Rio, will join Jo Stewart-Rattray, Chief Security Officer, Silverchain, in this virtual fireside chat. Rome2Rio is a multi-modal travel search company that returns itineraries for air, train, coach, ferry, mass transit and driving options to and from any location. Jo Stewart-Rattray

Jo has over 25 years experience in the IT field some of which were spent as CIO in the Utilities space, and 18 in the Information Security arena. She underpins her information technology and security background with her qualifications in education and management. Jo specialises in consulting in information security issues with a particular emphasis on governance in both the commercial and operational areas of businesses. Jo provides strategic advice to organisations across a number of industry sectors including banking and finance, utilities, automotive manufacturing, tertiary education, retail and government. Jo is actively involved with the Australian Computer Society, at state and national level, and she is currently serving as an Elected Director on ISACA?s international Board of Directors and is Chair of its global women's leadership initiative.

Craig has been in the Australian technology space for 24 years with his most recent experiences being in executive leadership roles at Yahoo7, SEEK and Rome2rio.

His current role of CTO and Head of Product at Rome2rio sees him responsible for the entire Product Development function at the Melbourne-based travel scale up. Rome2rio's vision is to be the world's trusted companion for planning travel - a vision that has had it's challenges over the last 18 months.

Craig's focus on bringing cutting edge technology and people-focused leadership together is core to his success and critical for the companies he's been involved with.

COVID-19 Event Attendance Compliance

By registering to attend an ACS in person event you are agreeing to the below terms and conditions

  • If an attendee is displaying flu or cold like symptoms in the days leading up to the event and therefore is not able to attend, ACS will refund the registration fee.
  • If an attendee comes to an event and is displaying flu or cold like symptoms they will be asked to leave
  • We ask all ACS members to respect the social distancing guidelines, if an attendee repeatedly disregards these guidelines, they may be asked to leave
  • ACS reserves the right to cancel the event within 24 hours' notice if either the speaker or the event host has advised us that they are exhibiting flu or cold like symptoms
  • All attendees must provide a valid phone number and email address to be contacted on if there is reason to notify about a possible COVID-19 exposure

Personal information collection notice

By registering for this event, you are providing personal information to the Australian Computer Society. In accordance with the ACS Privacy Policy, ACS collects personal information through registrations and attendances at its events for the purposes of:
