Effective governance is a critical success factor for data and analytics initiatives, and one of the most difficult challenges that organizations face. As the appetite to consume data increases so too does the need to ensure it is appropriately leveraged: What to govern, Who to involve and importantly How to get them engaged are all common questions. We will consider how to establish solid foundations needed for successful data and analytics governance today, and the future direction of governance as it evolves to address new business and technology challenges.

Sally Parker has over 25 years of IT experience and is a Research Director in Gartner's Data & Analytics CDO Leadership team.
