Effective governance is a critical success factor for data and analytics initiatives, and one of the most difficult challenges that organizations face. As the appetite to consume data increases so too does the need to ensure it is appropriately leveraged: What to govern, Who to involve and importantly How to get them engaged are all common questions. We will consider how to establish solid foundations needed for successful data and analytics governance today, and the future direction of governance as it evolves to address new business and technology challenges.<br><br>Sally Parker has over 25 years of IT experience and is a Research Director in Gartner&#39;s Data &amp; Analytics CDO Leadership team. Prior to this she was Research Director Enterprise Data Centre and later Research Director Data-Driven Intelligence. A regular keynote speaker across Asia on digital transformation and emerging technologies she was the author of associated research including IoT, privacy and trust.<br><br>

Sally Parker is a Research Director in Gartner's Data & Analytics CDO Leadership team. Areas of coverage include best practices in Governance, fostering a Data-Driven culture, Data & Analytics Strategies, and MDM. She has a keen interest in Privacy & Trust. Before her current position, Ms. Parker worked as an Executive Partner in Gartner's Executive Programs working 1-1 with Gartner's CIO/CISO clients. Ms. Parker is based in Melbourne, Australia.Ms. Parker has over 25 years of IT experience. She joined Gartner in 2016. Prior to this, she was Research Director Enterprise Data Centre and later Research Director Data-Driven Intelligence. COVID-19 Event Attendance Compliance

By registering to attend an ACS in person event you are agreeing to the below terms and conditions

  • If an attendee is displaying flu or cold like symptoms in the days leading up to the event and therefore is not able to attend, ACS will refund the registration fee.
  • If an attendee comes to an event and is displaying flu or cold like symptoms they will be asked to leave
  • We ask all ACS members to respect the social distancing guidelines, if an attendee repeatedly disregards these guidelines, they may be asked to leave
  • ACS reserves the right to cancel the event within 24 hours' notice if either the speaker or the event host has advised us that they are exhibiting flu or cold like symptoms
  • All attendees must provide a valid phone number and email address to be contacted on if there is reason to notify about a possible COVID-19 exposure
