To provide volunteers with work experience in the area of Information Technology that could be drawn on in their education and later in the industry.

To provide participants with skills in project management, teamwork, and enhance their personal development.

To develop a network between students, young professionals, ACS members and the wider community.

To enhance the image of IT profession in the wider community.

MEMBER BENEFITS:

One of the most common factors for a student not being able to find a job is the lack of experience. It is envisaged that through the web redevelopment project that volunteers will obtain requisite experience and become more employable as a result. Young professionals will be able to gain new skills and expand on those acquired. All project participants will receive a certificate detailing their contribution to the project and experience gained. It is hoped that through this project SYP will develop a network among members that would last well into their professional careers.
