Who are we?

Students and Young Professionals. SYP is an ACS Special Interest Group ( SIG) with the responsibility of catering for the needs of students and graduates.

History

SYP was reformed in 1997 by the ACS and is run by Students and Young Professionals for the benefit of Students and Young Professionals. SYP aims to provide benefits and services to other IT students and graduates that mainstream ACS events do not.

Goals

To offer a range of activities to enhance skills and knowledge of our members.

To offer some insights from IT professionals on issues and events in IT.

To offer valuable networking opportunities to our members.

To represent the students and young professionals body of the ACS.

To help ease the transition from tertiary institutions to the workplace.
