Moving to the Service Oriented Enterprise: Avoiding the Common Pitfalls

Goran Stankovski a specialist consultant and thought leader in the areas of Enterprise and Technical architecture will discuss the mistakes that occur when organisations attempt to implement a Service Oriented Architecture. The seminar will allow you to learn how past experience has highlighted some of the common pitfalls (and some of the strategies to avoid them) that Organisations have encountered on their journey to achieving a Service Oriented Enterprise.

To further the understanding of Service Oriented Computing [and specifically of Web Services] technologies, applications and approaches within the Victorian IT community through:

u Maintenance of a membership list of interested professionals.

u Regular meetings with speakers from industry and academia.

u Establishment of a web site to support the group’s activities with relevant resources and links.

u Occasional forums and seminars on specialist topics.

u Other ideas yet to be identified and discussed.
