Join us at the ACS Victorian Branch 2010 Conference where this year our theme is "The Digital Economy and Innovation". The Digital Economy is seen as being essential to Australia’s productivity, global competitive standing and improved social wellbeing and will ultimately encompass the entire economy and most, if not all, facets of our society. Is Australia embracing this fully? Australians are well known to quickly embrace new technologies, but how do we make sure we bring the whole community with us?
Continuing with the successful format from our 2009 Branch Conference, our Plenary sessions, Symposium Workshops and Professional Development sessions will look at what will happen after the National Broadband Network is rolled out. What does the ICT sector need to do on its part for the Digital Economy? What will the job scene look like? What will be the trends in security and cybercrime?
Additionally, what contribution will e-Health make? With sustained success being contingent upon attaining critical mass that can secure digital participation across all households, industries and regions of Australia, how do we make sure this can occur? Who are we excluding and why? What sort of internal and external consulting skills will be required in the Digital Economy? You think you’ve got an innovative idea, how do you set up a business and get your first customer? And, can we all be innovative? You will learn several techniques that can be used to increase creativity and innovation and hear how other technology organisations have used them to great success.
Our number one Branch event is being held at the number one provincial Conference venue in Victoria. The well appointed Novotel Forest Resort in Creswick, 10 minutes from Ballarat will once again host our Conference after excellent feedback from our 2009 delegates.
Join us in Creswick for your chance to mix with your industry peers, share experiences, hear our excellent speakers and participate in stimulating discussion.
And, your Conference attendance entitles you to 20 PCP hours.
