5. Computer Professional Education (CPE) Program – Study Period 2
Enrolments Now Open!
Looking for practical, work-based postgraduate
education? Then the CPE Program will be
just what you want. It’s postgraduate IT
professional education for motivated IT practitioners. With mentored and collaborative learning, the
CPE Program challenges your thinking and gives you a framework and the skills to
address issues within your organisation.
The CPE Program consists of four subjects: Three core - Business, Legal and Ethical Issues; New
Technology Alignment; Business, Strategy and IT and one elective - Project
Management; IT Service Management and
Adaptive Business Intelligence.
Study Period 2 runs from 20 July to 18
October. Fees $675 per subject (or $2700 for the full
program) for ACS Members. Time
commitment is 8-10 hours per week. So if
you are after a challenging, relevant and current postgraduate education program
which is delivered totally online, enrol in the Computer Professional Education
Program now! (Charges will not be made until 2
weeks prior to commencement of study period)

6. Computer Professional Education Program - Mentors Required
Mentors are required
for students undertaking the CPE Program to provide guidance, support, sharing
of ideas and experience to assist the students to reach their potential.
Mentoring is online through the Professional Practice Report which is part of
the CPE Program requirements.
Mentoring is about encouraging and challenging
students to explore new ideas, work through dilemmas and develop new approaches
to thinking. The commitment is for the full extent of the course and the type
of mentor we require must be an experienced ICT professional, an ACS Member (PCP
preferred).
Induction program is provided and weekly tutor/mentor "chat"
sessions are held to provide support and to discuss topics. The mentoring role
is unpaid, but any expenses incurred will be met. 25 PCP hours will be allocated
