2. Rostrum Club 10 Monthly Meeting - Wednesday 7th May
Good communication is highly valued in the workplace and the community.
Unfortunately, time, resources and training are not always available to develop,
hone and practise this valuable skill. The opportunities available within
Rostrum will help you become more proficient in crafting a speech, giving
presentations, thinking, speaking at short notice and all aspects of meeting
procedure.
Club 10 focuses on presentations using aids such as projectors, overhead
projectors, white boards, flip charts. So, if you have the duty of formally
speaking at a function, need to clinch business deals, want to be able to get
your message across more effectively to your audience or keep your brain
stimulated

5. Half Day Buzan Accredited Mind Mapping Workshop
FPMS are leaders in all areas of Program and Project Management Training and
Consulting. FPMS is holding a half day Mind mapping workshop delivered by Jo
Adams, a Qualified Buzan Licenced Mind Mapping Instructor (QBI) that includes
- Buzan Licensed Instructor (QBI)

6. Computer Professional Education (CPE) Program
CPEP Partners with Curtin University
The ACS and
Curtin University of Technology in Western Australia have a new alliance which
will provide students with a pathway to further postgraduate studies. Curtin
University provides an internationally recognised Masters degree and is the
first Western Australian university to offer this pathway, joining an exclusive
group of universities in Australia to sign an articulation agreement with the
ACS. Head of School of IS, Dr Vanessa
Chang, recently stated "The ACS and the School of IS both work towards the
same goals; the education and professional development of ICT professionals,
and more broadly the development of the ICT industry in Australia."

8. 165 new scholarships - Including 39 at IBM valued @ $28,000 each !!
