Mike Driver FACS CP
Mike is the tutor for Enterprise Architecture, a Mentor in the CPE Program and a Member of the Faculty Board. He has been in ICT for over 35 years and management of ICT for about 25. Joining the Air Force from high school in 1970, he has been part of technology from the valve radio days to where we are now. During his career Mike has worked as a user of technology as well as a supplier with Wang, Burroughs and a number of software suppliers providing a full gambit of services from engineering to customized software.
Over the past decade Mike has worked for top tier law firms before joining the Queensland Primary Industries & Fisheries three years ago as the Manager, Business Solutions & Governance. Mike’s team was a diverse group of technically excellent staff including Spatial, Applications, Business Analysts, Governance & Architects and Account Managers.
The March 2009 Queensland election resulted in DPI&F combining with Queensland Mines & Energy and Employment, Industry Development and Innovation to create the ‘super’ department of Department of Employment, Economic Development and Innovation, where he has taken up the role of Director, Governance, Architecture & Service Management.
