The Master of Business Information Systems suite of courses seeks to provide a relevant, innovative program to address the need for Information Systems professionals to upgrade their qualifications. The pace of technological change demands the provision of short, flexible periods of education through which professionals can update and maintain their skills and receive thorough industry preparation. To this end, course content is designed to meet industry demands by combining standard and specialist units of advanced study. The courses emphasises the development of software, systems and management skills in the context of contemporary organisational environments.

Master of Business Information Systems (MBIS) - 120 credit points.

This degree consists of 12 units as the MBIS, and as the MBIS (Advanced), worth 160 credit points, for international students and anyone who wishes to undertake additional study in the field. The Advanced has a 3-unit research project and an additional elective unit.

The Faculty of Business also offers the following related awards:

Graduate Certificate in Business Information Systems (GradCertBIS)

Graduate Diploma in Business Information Systems (GradDipBIS), which consists of 8 units (80 credit points);

Master of Business Information Systems/Master of Business Administration (MBIS/MBA, combine awards consisting of 16 units (160 credit points);

Master of Information Technology (MInfTech), 12 units (120 credit points);

Master of Information Technology (Advanced), consisting of a 3-unit project and an elective unit (160 credit points)

Graduate Certification in Information Technology (GradCertInfTech), 4 units (40  credit points);

Graduate Diploma in Information Technology (GradDipInfTech), 8 units (80 credit points).

Students must meet normal course entry and English language requirements for acceptance into these courses.

Articulation will be decided on a case by case basis.
