Heidi Winney conducted an interactive introduction to career planning to help provide attendees with an overview of how to develop a career plan.

Having a career plan allows us to be better prepared for dealing with change and ensures ownership of our career through targeted self-development.

Leading with Emotional Intelligence

ACS-W's first event for 2005 was held on the 7th of July at the ACS's new residence on Pitt Street.

Many thanks Vicki Coleman, CIO of RailCorp who was our guest speaker for the night Vicki Coleman. Vicki shared her own experiences in the four domains of Emotional Intelligence that helped her succeed: self awareness, self management, social awareness and relationship management.

ACS-W Official Website Launch

The Women In Technology website was launched officially on the 16th of June, 2004.

The evening was an immediate success and many thanks must go to guest speaker Mary Ann Maxwell (Managing Director of META Group Asia Pacific) and Toshiba, for sponsoring the event.

Why should we care about the next generation?

A networking/cocktail event and the first event run by ACS-W took place on the 29th of October, 2003.

Proudly sponsored by the Australian Institute of Management (AIM) and Females in Information Technology & Telecommunications(FITT), guest speaker Diana Ryall (Director of Xplore) gave an information speech on work/life balance from both the perspective of a business person and mother.
