You will ideally have a mix of the following skills:

  • Strong JAVA/J2EE knowledge
  • Hands-on experience with EJB, Hibernate, Struts and Spring
  • Interest in design patterns, application frameworks and open source J2EE technologies
  • Commercial software development, in an OO environment
  • Experience with commercial-strength web and application servers (e.g. WebLogic, JBOSS or WebSphere), databases (e.g. Oracle & DB2) plus other middleware & server technologies
  • Useful - knowledge of implementing internet applications using Java Servlets, JSP, EJB
  • Ideally some experience with ideally RUP/XP or another development methodology
  • On-site consulting experience useful
