MISSION

The ACS Open Source Software (OSS) SIG is a forum for leaning about and discussing issues associated with the adoption and use of open source software in a commercial context.

OBJECTIVES

1. To provide IT professionals with a forum to discuss and learn about OSS and related issues.
2. To present speakers with specific experience related to OSS.
3. To act as a medium for communication between IT professionals on subjects related to OSS.
4. To encourage research into OSS related issues.

OUTPUT

Output from the OSS SIG will include:

• Group meetings.
• The ACSOSS Yahoo! group (mailing list).
• An informal network of contacts between members.

MEMBERSHIP

Membership is open to all IT Professionals with an interest in OSS.
