MISSION
The mission of the Information Security Special Interest Group is to enable and encourage the sharing of information, current trends and best practice across all areas of Information Security. This is achieved by providing a forum where members can share and learn from the knowledge and experience of others.
OBJECTIVES
The objective of the SIG is to
- provide a networking forum to share and discuss business and technical areas of Information Security
- present expert guest speakers with experience on Information Security best practices, lessons learnt, and future advances and trends on Information Security
- maintain a repository of contacts and resources to assist members with Information Security
OUTPUT
- Regular group meetings;
- Workshops, seminars and forums;
- An informal network of contacts amongst members;
- Links with other organisations involved in the same or related fields of endeavours;
- Repository of resources;
MEMBERSHIP
- All individuals and organisations interested in Information Security are welcome tojoin the SIG.

MAILING LIST The group runs a mailing list called acsinfosec-l. Membership is unrestricted, but membership requires approval (this is
