DESCRIPTION

The Enterprise Solution Development SIG is a forum promoting strategic improvements to the say software services business needs. We are looking at tools, methods and platforms that enable prompt delivery and further development of Enterprise Software-Intensive Solutions.

• New Software Architecture approaches like MDA

• Methods of efficient Analysis: how to make sure we know what to develop;

• Function of Enterprise Software Architect, Enterprise-level Modelling and Re-use

• New Technologies & Tools

OBJECTIVES

1. Promote more effective and dynamic development of enterprise software solutions;

2. Increase awareness in advanced technologies, tools and methodologies;

3. Facilitate communication between IT professionals in the area of Enterprise Software Development;

4. Provide an ability to learn from leading thinkers and distinguished practitioners in informal professional environment;

5. Promote business-IT alignment, achieve business agility and reduce IT costs;

6. Acquire and accumulate industry perception, needs and demands in relation to Software Methods and Architecture;

7. Facilitate communication between research, software vendors and Enterprise IT.

OUTPUT

Output from the ESD SIG will include:

• Group meetings featuring talks contributing to Group’s objectives, with handouts published on ACS NSW website;

• Group panel discussions, with minutes published on ACS NSW website;

• The Group’s forum & mailing list;

• An informal network promoting advanced Software Architecture and Methodology for the benefit of Australian IT industry.

MEMBERSHIP

Membership is open to all ICT Professionals with an interest in Enterprise Software Solution Development.
