A Business Intelligence Competency Centre (BICC) is a permanent formal organisational structure, which includes representatives from the business and IT. A BICC promotes the effective use of Business Intelligence (BI) to support an organisation’s business strategy. It provides leadership, directions and BI services to the organisation.
This presentation focus on getting the full potential out of Business Intelligence by focusing on the people, cultural and organisational aspects to drive business value. The presentation will cover:
· What is a BICC? · Why do you need a BICC & who is involved? · How do you implement a BICC? · What services and functions does a BICC provide? · Roles and responsibilities · Organisational structure and reporting, different options · BI and Data Governance, Training and internal communication/marketing · What should you avoid when implementing a BICC? · How do you link your BICC to the BI Strategy and business strategy?
