Nominations Invited for ACS QLD BEC
Nominations are invited for the following positions on the 2013 ACS Queensland Branch Executive Committee (BEC).
- Branch Chair (for 1 year only)
- Branch Vice Chair (for 1 year only)
ACS Queensland encourages all members who believe they have the attributes to make a positive contribution to the ACS via the Qld BEC to submit their nominations.
Appointments commence 1 January, 2013.
Eligibility:
Only financial members of ACS Queensland are eligible for nomination for positions on the ACS Qld BEC. For a nomination to be valid it must show the name and address of an eligible candidate, be signed by the candidate as evidence of willingness to accept the nomination and be signed by another member of ACS Queensland as proposer.
A candidate for the positions of Chairman and/or Vice-Chairman must be a Fellow, Senior Member, or Member. Associates are only eligible as candidates for ordinary Committee member positions. All grades of members are eligible to propose candidates for any of the positions.
Closing date for nominations:
Nominations must reach the Returning Officer no later than 5pm, Friday 5 October 2012 and may be posted to PO Box 10327 Adelaide Street Brisbane Qld 4000 or faxed to 07 3220 0688 or emailed to barry.snashall@acs.org.au. The onus rests with those concerned to ensure that nominations are lodged before the closing date.
Election:
If there are more nominations than positions, a ballot will be held to determine the successful candidates.
