ICT Excellence Awards NSW
12 October 2011: The Australian Computer Society (ACS) NSW Branch today announced the hosting of the inaugural ICT Excellence Awards NSW.
Launched by the ACS NSW Branch Chairman, Patrick Wilson in Sydney, the awards are part of the ACS’s commitment to further the opportunities and the careers of its members by recognising the outstanding
performance and contributions by people in the ICT community in New South Wales.
“This is a fantastic opportunity for ICT professionals to put their skills on display and to be acknowledged for the vital work they do in helping improve the efficiency and effectiveness of business, government education and the wider community,” said Mr Wilson.
The Awards will honour the excellence of individuals and teams in six categories:
- Project
- Innovation
- Leader
- Young ICT Achiever
- Education
- Media and Journalism
The ACS is calling on people from the ICT community to nominate for any or all of six award categories. Nominations will be judged by a panel of ACS Fellows and leaders in ICT.
“Entering the ICT Excellence Awards NSW provides participants with a unique opportunity to gain insight, knowledge and experience in how to promote the contribution ICT makes, whilst helping them to build a
personal competitive advantage through marketing their excellent contributions in ICT and as ICT industry leaders.” said Mr Wilson.
The Awards will culminate at a prestigious Gala Awards Night on Thursday 1st December 2011 at Doltone House, Jones Bay Wharf in Sydney. The presentation of the ICT Excellence Awards NSW will recognise those who have made an exceptional contribution through ICT to business, government, education and the community. The Gala Awards Night will be the NSW ICT community’s night of nights and provide networking opportunity with industry
leaders and the ICT Community.
