Expressions of Interest: ACS Policy Committee 2012 and New Policy Areas of Focus

The ACS is seeking expressions of interest from six suitably qualified ACS members to join the ACS Public Policy
Committee.

The ACS is also seeking nominations for new and emerging policy areas the Committee should consider for the year ahead.

Expressions of Interest for Policy Committee membership close on 31 December and interested members should review the policy charter (available here) and address the selection criteria in the EOI form located here.

Completed applications should be submitted to policy@acs.org.au.

About the ACS Public Policy Committee

Reporting to the ACS Management Committee, the ACS Public Policy Committee advises on the annual public policy issues to be addressed by the ACS, endorses an annual public policy plan and related communication/implementation strategies and reviews and reports on policy processes, achievements and impacts.

The ACS Public Policy Committee consists of eight voting members, two of which are the ACS President as Chair of the Committee and the ACS CEO. The members, taken collectively will have demonstrable expertise, experience and understanding of public policy in relation to Information and Communications Technology and the ACS.

The term of Policy Committee membership is two years and will expire on January 1 2014.
