skills is not just a critical issue for our industry, but for
Australia’s economy as a whole. This year’s winner and finalists will

career. We would like to congratulate Dominik and the finalists, and
look forward to seeing their careers develop ”.

the finalists demonstrates an impressive commitment to and passion for
the ICT industry.
I congratulate each one of them for setting
such a strong example for young professionals in our industry and I’m
thrilled to see the Australian Defence Force and the Australian Public
Service represented. Both the ADF and APS make key contributions to the
well-being of our nation. The quality of the finalists clearly shows
that our industry has a bright future.”
Dominik Kul

said, “ I feel honoured and humbled to be a recipient of the award and
would like to thank the ACS and the Department of Finance and
Deregulation for sponsoring the award. I believe it is very important
to recognise the achievements of young ICT processionals, particularly
in the public sector. Such awards generate interest within the public
service and harness the skills required to take advantage of the power
of IT.
“My ICT career has been a fairly brief yet rewarding
one. It began with the Australian Army sponsoring a year of
postgraduate studies in Information Technology at the University of
Technology, Sydney in 2008. I was subsequently posted to the Defence
Materiel Organisation as the Technical Lead for Joint Project 2077,
Phase 2B.1 in 2009 and have fulfilled that role to the present day”,

important to recognise the success of young ICT professionals as they
move through their careers. Recognition of your achievements at an

encourages you to challenge yourself deeper, achieve greater and
advance further. As a Project Manager, I am lucky enough to deliver
change and benefits through the work and dedication of my project
teams. Therefore, to receive recognition as one of this year’s
finalists reconfirms my view that the ICT group within the ACMA is
beyond doubt one of the best in the APS.”
